My Summer Must Haves

Hey y'all! it's finally starting to get warm here in Iowa so I wanted to share with you some things I just can't live without in this warm weather!

First up is my Instax mini camera. I got this as a gift from my grandma about a year ago and I've loved it ever since! It's small enough to stash in your purse so it can go anywhere and I love hanging the prints! They print instantly and develop the same way as an old Polaroid camera. Grab one if you want a fun way to capture memories and need a healthy dose of nostalgia!

Next up is this adorable set of tassel earrings from Sugarfix by Baublebar. They're a new line by Baublebar for Target and they come in at such a great price point that you'll probably want 5 pairs! They're not heavy and the pops of color are perfect for spicing up a monochrome outfit or a solid color dress! These are no longer available on the website but I've linked a couple of my current favorites hereherehere, and here.

As always I live in my Jacks. These are the newest addition to my collection so they're not quite broken in yet (which is why they're not crazy dirty!) Jacks are so comfortable once they're broken in and this basic white goes with everything.

My sunglasses from JustFab are my favorite pair so far. I love how they fit and they're super light so they aren't always sliding around on my face! I have a serious obsession with anything tortoiseshell so these spoke to me, just like my other ten pairs of tortoiseshell sunnies. Oops. Mine are no longer available but I've linked the pair I just ordered here.

One of my all-time favorite things for summer in terms of clothing are the 3" pull on shorts from J. Crew. They're so easy and comfortable they'll be making plenty of appearances this summer. I've linked a couple options here and here.

Continuing the J. Crew trend I have to mention the J. Crew chino shorts. Who doesn't love these? I'm not joking at all when I tell you I have them in 12 different colors. I love them! They pair well with everything.

J. Crew recently released a pair of scalloped shorts and they are just the cutest! I grabbed a pair in pink and I can't wait to get them so I can share them with y'all! The best part? They're under $25 right now!

I'll go ahead and end this post on my skincare fave! My face hates sunscreen, it feels like every time I put sunscreen on my face I break out the next day so when I found the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion Sunscreen I was super excited. I've never once broken out because of this and I have really sensitive skin. It's definitely a must have! I have a tube in my purse, my beach bag, and my bathroom. It's the best and it's under $10!

So that wraps up my Summer Must Haves. I'll be back next week with my favorite clothing finds for summer under $50! Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss out!

Hair Care & Giveaway!

Hey y’all! I am so excited to share this post with you! I have spent FOREVER looking for a great routine for my hair. My hair has always been super thick and dry and has never really wanted to grow, it’s the worst! I actually stumbled upon my current shampoo & conditioner from Soapbox soaps about a year ago through a VoxBox from Influenster! If you haven’t heard of Influenster, it’s a company that rewards social influencers with free products in exchange for honest reviews! It’s totally free to join and you can get all kinds of goodies. You can join using the link here: www.influenster.com/r/3128761

I was pretty leary when I tried it out the first time since my hair is so tempermental, but I fell in love! It is seriously the best, and it’s so reasonably priced! Ringing up at just $5.99 a bottle it’s an awesome deal. It’s also color safe, sulfate free, and paraben free which makes it great for everyone! It makes my hair super soft and it has actually helped my hair start growing again so I couldn’t be happier. Not to mention it smells so good!

Now on to the best part; the mission. Soapbox’s motto is soap=hope. What exactly does this mean? For every Soapbox product purchased they provide a bar of soap to someone in need. So many lives can be saved or even just improved by access to personal hygiene and Soapbox is improving tons of lives. They have donated over a million bars of soap so far! It’s pretty cool to know that every time I restock my shower supplies I’m helping out two people in need. There’s a code on every product so if you visit their website and use that code you can see exactly where your purchase is helping out.

Next up is Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner. It’s also sulfate and paraben free, it’s formulated with 100% pure shea butter and I use this after every shower to help keep my hair moisturized and keep me from getting split ends. It works so well! I picked mine up at Target so you can grab it here.

Last but not least we have the Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil 5-Action Hair Elixir. Y’all when they say marvelous they aren’t kidding. Like I mentioned before my hair is super dry but this elixir works wonders. I use it every morning before I style my hair and occasionally on my ends after I style it. It keeps my hair smooth and moisturized, it even adds shine!

So that is my complete hair care routine! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, now I have a surprise! I’ll be giving away my hair care routine to one lucky winner at the end of the week so make sure you subscribe to the blog and follow me on Instagram @timeforclassy! Each of these counts as one entry!  Good luck everyone!

Blue is the New Black

Hey y'all! Today I'm talking about a VoxBox I received from Influenster! Do you use Influenster? They send you free products in exchange for honest reviews.** The more social media presence you have the more influence they see and the more free products you get! It's a really awesome way to try out new things and I've loved 90% of the things they've sent me.

I'll link the products in case anyone wants to try them!

I'm really excited to review this box because I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this mascara! So in the Maybelline Great Lash Royal Blue VoxBox I got both the Great Lash mascara in Royal Blue and the Maybelline Unstoppable eyeliner pencil. I was really nervous to try the blue mascara at first because I already have bright green eyes and blue mascara is just way out of my comfort zone but I actually love it! I have dark lashes so it's a subtle enough look that I didn't feel crazy wearing it, and paired with the eyeliner it's a perfect look for date night or just a night out with the girls! The Maybelline Great Lash mascara has existed before but it was discontinued so Maybelline did a great job of listening to their customers and brought it back! It's such a unique look that I'll be reaching for it way more than I originally thought! The prices are great too, each item is between $5 and $8! You can't beat that! I'll show y'all some before and after pictures so you can see the difference between my bare lashes and two coats of the Great Lash Royal Blue and the Unstoppable black eyeliner.

Again I want to mention Influenster because it's like Christmas in a box every time they send you a VoxBox! They're always filled with really great products and it only takes a couple seconds to review them on their app! You can sign up here!

Thanks for stopping by!

**Disclosure: I received these products for free from Influenster for testing purposes but all opinions are my own.

My All Time Favorite Beauty Buys

I don't know about you but I love nothing more than buying new makeup! I have a tendency to buy lots of it around the holidays because between finals and the holidays with family it's a nice little stress relief. That being said I'd love to share my absolute favorite beauty products with you!

NYX Cosmetics Studio Perfect Primer
$13 (Ulta, Target)
This stuff is seriously liquid gold! I have oily skin and this helps keep my makeup on, and keeps me from getting too oily in my T zone. It's a great dupe for Smashbox!

Younique Mineral Touch Liquid Foundation
$39 (Younique Products)
Bear with me here, for a college student this is a little pricey BUT it is amazing and it lasts forever! Seriously, I've had my bottle for almost 5 months now. I'm someone who has always struggled with acne and scarring on my face and this covers perfectly and never feels heavy. It's also free of harsh chemicals so it's actually good for your skin.

Younique Liquid Foundation Brush
$32 (Younique Products)
I know $32 seems like a lot but this provides the perfect coverage and it doesn't shed bristles which is something that I have always had problems with.

NYX Cosmetics Ombre Blush
$10 (Ulta, Target)
I originally bought this blush because the ombre color jumped out at me on the shelf and I thought it was pretty, but it's even better on! I'm currently loving the Mauve Me shade (pictured) for fall/winter.

NYX Cosmetics Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick
$7 (Ulta, Target)
This stuff is a line of all nude/neutral liquid lipsticks. They are amazing, enough said.

NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream
$7 (Ulta, Target)
These are wonderful if you love a totally matte look. They have an awesome range of shades too. A lot of the shades are perfect dupes for Kylie lip kits!

NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick
$7 (Ulta, Target)
If you couldn't tell I'm obsessed with liquid lipsticks, especially matte ones. This line is great because they are super pigmented.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Lip Exfoliator
$3 (Ulta, Target, Walmart)
I can't say enough how much I love this stuff, for a few different reasons. It's cheap, it works, it's a lifesaver during the winter, and it makes my lips so soft. Like I mentioned above I love liquid lipsticks, especially matte colors and they tend to settle into lines and dry out your lips. Not if you use the lip exfoliator first, I use it every day and it never fails me.

Dermablend Loose Setting Powder
$27 (Ulta, Sephora)
This is what I use to set my liquid foundation and it lasts all day! The rest of this line is also amazing for full coverage foundation, concealer, and more.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
$31 (Ulta, Sephora)
Hands down the best setting spray I have ever used. If you're trying to save some money Ulta has a travel size bottle that lasts forever and is only $15.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
$22 (Ulta, Sephora)
I've used this stuff since the day I got a free sample and I won't ever go back, I just love it. It's not too wet and not too dry and it seriously does not clump, ever.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette
$49 (Ulta, Sephora)
This is my favorite eyeshadow palette. I have green eyes and I love the shades of gold, brown, and purple. It also has a nice mix of shades for every different look. Just don't eat it 🍫

Tarte Double Duty Contour & Highlight Palette
$30 (Ulta)
Both highlighter and contour are in this palette, it lasts forever. I've had mine for almost a year now.

Real Techniques Mega Brush Set
$50 (Ulta)
Honestly it's cheaper to buy brushes in a set than one by one. This set has everything you need for all the basics, and it's only $50 for 12 items. If you don't want to spend that much tell your parents to buy it for you for Christmas!
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes
$12.50 for 2 (Ulta, Target, Walmart)
I've used these for years, they're perfect for taking off makeup before bed if you're too lazy to go wash your face, which I am.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
$18 (Ulta)
This stuff is a miracle in a bottle. Best acne treatment ever. Put a dab on a pimple and it's
totally gone overnight.

That wraps it up! Hopefully I've introduced you to some new products you've never tried but you will love! Let me know in the comments if you use any of these or if you're going to try them!
