Classic Southern Buttermilk Pie
Ingredients
- 1 Deep Dish Pie Crust, unbaked (I cheat and use frozen)
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together eggs, flour, sugar, buttermilk, butter, lemon juice, vanilla and salt until well combined.
- Pour into your unbaked pie crust and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes ( until set and golden brown on top)
- Remove from oven and let cool.
- Refridgerate at least 2 hours before serving to allow the pie to set.
- Store in the refrigerator.
